Another Time Another Kiss - Chapter 19 (1st Para)

“Are you kidding?” Machiko cried out. She couldn’t believe her ears after Sai had finished his announcement during one of his frequent dinner visits with the Iries.

“I was shocked too.” Sai sighed deeply, shaking his head. “It was so odd to hear those words came out from her mouth.”

Machiko immediately shot a murderous glare at her elder son when she realised that he was still putting food into his mouth as if nothing had happened, as if the news was from planet Mars.

“How can you still remain so calm?” Machiko couldn’t contain herself anymore; streams and streams of hot tears kept rolling down uncontrollably from her already sore eyes.

Machiko had enough reason to be panic.

Machiko was the shield and armour for Kotoko in the I-want-to-be-Mrs.-Irie-Naoki conquest. Kotoko was the brave warrior who would get back to her feet no matter how badly she had been hurt in the battle.

To be blunt, he was her everything.

To be crude, she couldn’t live without him.

When Kotoko decided to stop using her shield and armour, Machiko indeed had enough reason to be panic.

Sometime, I just don't understand why people are getting more and more selfish during nowsday?

They are just trying very hard not to get hurt but without realising that just when they were doing that, they've had hurt the people around them.

Why?

I just don't understand at all...
